MY TECHNOLOGY CLASS
In this first part, I will share some tools, apps and web sites I have learned in this semester with our technology teacher Mr. Cinto, I included information about each one of them and a personal comment on that.
*GOOGLE SCHOLAR
One of them is Google Scholar, but to make it easier, I will share a tutorial with you, made by me, of course
I have found this resource very useful for my other subjects and other research that I have had to do. I know that I will continue to use it in future.
*ADD REFERENCES AND CITATIONS
Another tool I learned is how to add references and citations to a document, and for this, I have another tutorial.
Before this class I had never known how to do this, I had observed it in readings, but I had never asked myself how to do it, now I know how and the importance that it has.
*CMAPTOOLS (CmapTools)
Our technology teacher shared an app to make conceptual maps, very simple to use and easy to understand.
This application helps you to design any type of relational charts, concept maps and other types of diagrams. It works in a very intuitive way, I want to share a map made by me for my technology class, It was very easy and fun!!
Look at this example:
*CAMBRIDGE DICTIONARY
Get clear definitions and audio pronunciations of words, phrases, and idioms in British and American English from the three most popular Cambridge dictionaries of English with just one search: the Cambridge Advanced Learner’s Dictionary, the Cambridge Academic Content Dictionary, and the Cambridge Business English Dictionary.
*BIBLIOTECA DIGITAL BUAP
Here you can find: art and culture, audio books, digital libraries for the world, blogs, online courses, museums and virtual tours, institutional repositories and more.
Well, I think, this resource should be better used and it is necessary to know and promote it as an indispensable tool in the development of our careers.
*BLOC DE NOTAS DE CLASE (TEAMS)
Personally I think that this tool is very complete...but don't forget that classic notebook, pencil, pen and eraser are an excelent option too if we run out of light! In Technoly class, we have used it to write about us and our students, here I have some examples about what I have written.
*LIST OF BASIC COMPUTER SHORTCUT KEYS
Keyboard shortcuts are key combinations which allow us to perform actions quickly. That is, we can for example, open a new browser tab by simply pressing two keys or refresh the page with one.
CTRL + A Selects the text CTRL + Y Redo
CTRL + X Cuts the selected item CTRL + B Bold
CTRL + C Copy the selected item CTRL + D Open menu for front
CTRL + V Paste the selected item CTRL + E Select all
CTRL + S Save CTRL + F Search/Replace
CTRL + Z Undo CTRL + G Move
Especially for those who do not know how to work without the mouse, you must always keep them in mind, just in case!
*GOOGLE DOCS
Google Documents is an online text processor that is included as part of the Google Docs Editors web-based suite, which also includes Google Sheets, Google Presentations, Google Drawings, Google Forms, Google Sites, Google Keep and more.

I think many of us currently wouldn’t know how to survive without Google Docs, as it has become an indispensable tool for our work, school and staff performance. It is very easy to use, it only requires practice and need to make it part of our technological work.

It is a very easy application, interactive and intuitive to use, it can teach you from the basics to more advanced things, with the help of images, audios and texts easy to understand, you can practice pronunciation, and the section "Stories of Duolingo" I find it a very good tool to be able to listen to conversations from real situations.
*GRAMMARLY
I think this app is going to be very useful for people who is studying another language and want to learn how to write correctly, it is very easy to use, i think i will make this my favorite app by far!!
*Well, in the next, part I will show you what I have learned about using some technological resources and their use.
For example, in the next activity, first I created a Power Point presentation, then I had to insert audios, CmapTools, Canva, Bubble and finally to change it into a video. It was interesting!

*Another thing I have learned is to use Google forms for exams, surveys and to add in it pictures, videos and more resources in order to make them an excelent tool to work.
This is my job.

*REFLECTION
My reflection of all this is that I now appreciate and value all that I have learned from using technology in my career as a teacher. Pre pandemic had learned very basic and necessary things, but after the pandemic I "had" to learn more by leaps and bounds and sometimes I thought it was too much, but now I wish I had learnt more, since everything has served me and after the classes of "Technological resources in language teaching" I see that there is still much to learn, to know and to be amazed,
Well, I think that’s it, I hope I haven’t forgotten anything. I thank teacher Cinto for everything he taught us, his recommendations and advice. And above all, I will try to practice, apply and recommend what I have learned in every possible occasion. THANK YOU !!!!
